With a host of pedigree ambient compilation contributions (Floating Point, Ultimae's Fahrenheit Projects)Alex Sheffer aka Cell release a long overdue debut album on Italian label Neurobiotic's chilled out alter ego, Indica Music. Following from the eclectic ethnic beats and swirling digital vistas we've heard so far, Cell goes deeper for his album, giving his sound space to breath, and breath it does, swaying blissfully close to Dakini quality compositions. 'Sensitiv' Garden' opens the album like a dream-prayer to rhythm, setting the scene with echoing hand-drums and bells nestled amongst beautiful singing. 'Zaz' features some familiar samples from Blumenkraft reworked in fine style for one of the most rounded tunes here. 'White Call' gets a 130bpm stomp on, flutes and sweet percussion working well against the trance backbone, while final track 'Orange' builds into an emotive drum 'n bass heartbreaker. Great work from Cell, and another quality release from Indica. Bez23
