What is the one thing you want from a mix CD? Perhaps for it to be a mix CD as opposed to a mixed compilation from a DJ who actually had no full control over what’s on it! Wouldn't it be refreshing if all of a sudden the control was thrown back to the place it belongs, to the DJ?! Well yippideefrickindee! finally someone has had the foresight to do what we actually want and I tell you this will leave you thinking - what are all the other CD's really all about?! The DJ with the honour in the first of this series, and the only man for the job, Andy Farley. Tune selection is of the highest order, the way its been pulled together flows better than a flow chart about flowing, and the feel is techy and dirty without losing that drivin smile on yer face fist shakin happy place we all like to be when we're out. Tracks 'n' acts: ‘Electric’ D.A.V.E. the Drummer & Sterling Moss, ‘Neuvo York’ Valentino Kanzyani, ‘Something Special’ Souldrop Night, OD404, Hydraulix, Andy himself and many more. Verdict: By far the best CD I've heard in Yonks! Very refreshing! DB
