If you fancy celebrating the New Year in style, the Greenspirit festival takes place in Thailand from the 30th Dec until the 1st Jan. The 3 day Psy trance event was due to be held last year, but when the Tsunami struck the area on Boxing Day, it was decided to put everything back a year. As a result of the sterling efforts of the Thai Psy trance community in raising money for the disaster, the Authorities have taken a more positive view of such events, leading to the confirmation of this major festival. Greenspirit will feature a host of international names such as DJ Goblin Azax Syndrom, DJ Shivajoerg, Beat Hacker, Gataka/Sesto Sento, as well as some fabulous Asian DJs such as local hero DJ Sabai Sabai, all located in a upland location close to the beach in Ao Nang, Krabi in one of the world's most beautiful locations. ffi www.greenspiritkrabi.com
