New dance club opens doors for Plymouth

After much speculation, prayers have finally been answered as party goers in the south west await the launch of new venue ‘Pilgrimage’. The venue, which opens its doors on September 3rd is based in the old ‘Candystore’ building located in the rather frenetic city of Plymouth.

The main aims of the venue are to concentrate on a musical policy where both rooms have equal importance, high quality sound systems and bringing acts rarely seen in the South West to this part of the country.

‘We are aiming to establish 'Pilgrimage' as a venue people will travel from all over to come to!’ reveal the venue owners.

Every Saturday from 10 P.M right the way through till 6 A.M, ‘Pilgrimage’ will be providing forward thinking and diverse musical nights ranging from hardcore and house through to trance and techno.

Leading names such as Sam Punk, Captain Tinrib, Alex Calver, Weirdo and Phil Keiran are lined up to play alongside established residents Ben McGowan, Asa, Chris Blade and Moon.

Catering for the funkier sound are Joe Freeze, Anthony M and Miss Divine to name a few. Also enlisted are the talents of Plymouthian DJs Chris Davies, Dr J and ex-Dance Academy resident Kev Rose to play.

Friday nights at the club accommodate fans of Urban Music, R&B and Funky House. With involvement from Future Sound Promotions, Discipline, Antiworld, Psygate, Teknoworld, Firefly and Antidote 909, the future certainly looks bright for this fledgling venue!
