To celebrate three insane years of an unforgettable festival that has connected more than 30,000 people from around the globe the organizers of Samothraki have released a DVD documenting it. Over the three years Samothraki have brought to the people the cream of international psychedelic artists including Hallucinogen, Dino Psaras, Alien Project, Wizzy Noise and many many more. Samothraki, whichever way you look at it truly is a masterpiece of psychedelic history, and finally those that went will have a chance to relive some of its magic, those that didn’t finally have a chance to see what they have missed.
The DVD contains almost four hours of footage and includes 100 live acts and 130 DJ’s from the three years of the festival. Features on the DVD include multi angle views, helicopter views from 2002 and 2003, interviews from artists and organizers, a ‘making of’ film and more. Thrown into the package is a 14 page booklet that reprints amongst other things the original flyers and programmes.
