‘My Life’ fits very nicely into the hard dance category but will also crossover onto the more mainstream floors. It’s a difficult track to describe as it doesn’t stick to the hard dance formula. Instead of your bog standard riff in the middle there is a synth groove that that still incites the hands in the air moment, but without being obvious. The overall sound is tough, but without sounding like Hard house from two years ago and it is produced impeccably. However, it is the vocal that I believe this track will really be remembered for. Sung by none other than BK himself, it is very catchy, but it still retains that all important air of credibility. This is a great collaboration and I for one can’t wait to hear the next instalment from these two. JL
