A new Rogue Element track arriving through the post is something that brings a smile to this face. Originally a live musician who got the bug for dance-music four years ago when he moved to North London. "Tom" the Rogue Element is to breakbeat what Metallica are for rock and a top bloke after having had the good fortune to hook up at a recent gig in Bristol. Moving in with Tom Neville of "Just Fuck" fame The Rogue used to sneak into his studio and play with Cubase whilst Mr Neville was out immersing himself in the underground London scene. Anyone familiar with his previous bangers on Exceptional know the damage one of his tunes can do. Infact normally the problem is what to play after it! I know the first year i went to Japan I dropped The Rogue everywhere to a massive response. This is no exception with its huge rock sensibilities and awesome bassline. Tom takes a slightly more commercial root on this as opposed to his recent remix of Loser by DJ Quest which is pure analog mayhem by adding some clever programming and funk stabs, but dont be deceived this is a heavy tune. Getting massive airplay from Radio One's Zane Lowe this is peaktime stadium rock in your face breaks. On the flip remix duties go to Vandal from the Plastic Raygun camp whos riding a wave of success after the great success of "Mad As Hell " on LOT49 (Meat Katies label). He turns in an electronic deeper take retaining all the key elements of the original. A good package here both tunes will blow up any party.Out later this month also watch out to the album also named "Rogue Rock" JR
